MBC has collaborated with L&G on three projects for the New York City Publics Schools (NYCPS) Office of Student Pathways (OSP). L&G Research and Evaluation Consulting, Inc. (L&G) is a NYS and NYC certified M/WBE firm, founded in 2011 by Drs. Ana Maria Grigoras, PhD, and Danielle Lawrence-Campbell, DrPH. With over 26 years of combined experience, they provide expert leadership to ensure the highest quality of service across all projects. L&G specializes in program evaluation grounded in a participatory approach, grant writing, strategic advising, and capacity-building services. Fueled by a team of highly skilled professionals, L&G offers expertise in research and evaluation design, data collection, analysis, and reporting, delivering actionable insights to improve program quality and drive organizational success.

MBC has collaborated with Great Impacts on projects for New York City's Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) and the Asian Pacific Islander Health Forum (APIAHF). Great Impacts (GIC) works with non-profits and NGOs to implement right-sized monitoring and evaluation solutions. GIC is a full-suite research, monitoring, evaluation, and learning firm (MERL) that delivers right-sized MERL solutions and strategies to organizations around the world.

MBC worked with Genesis Education Solutions to publish a white paper on the HBCUs' cost-effectiveness for student populations. GES transforms communities through customized solutions that empower teams to achieve their mission. GES has provided transformative solutions for clients for over 25 years. Specialization areas include:

  • Asset mapping, needs assessments, and SWOT analyses

Joaquin Villa

Joaquin's collaboration with Michael dates back to their time working together on the Research and Evaluation team at iMentor. As consultants, they have partnered on projects for New York City Public Schools' Office of Student Pathways (OSP). Joaquin is an accomplished data strategist and research professional with extensive experience in education, program evaluation, and organizational data management. Currently serving as the Director of Strategic Analytics at College Board, he leads the development of visualization tools to effectively communicate complex data and inform strategic decision making across College Board’s suite of products including SAT, AP, and BigFuture. Prior to College Board, Joaquin worked in various research roles, including as an Associate Director of Research and Evaluation at iMentor, where he applied data analytics to mentor recruitment, developed performance management tools, and managed iMentor’s internal Tableau server.

MBC has worked with Future Focused Strategies' (FFS) Principal, Shaquinah Taylor Wright, on multiple projects for the New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) Office of Student Pathways (OSP). Michael and Shaquinah also worked together at iMentor to bring increased data use and data-driven practices in iMentor's Postsecondary Program. FFS specializes in improving post-secondary engagement by designing tools, methods, and strategies that empower students, educators, and district leaders. FFS' mission is to build capacity within education systems, ensuring young people have the resources and choices they need to succeed in their college and career pathways.
